It is believed that Farm House is likely the same house as in Old Mill, a painting in the McMichael Collection dated at c. 1911.
This painting is to be included in the Lawren S. Harris Inventory Project. The project is an initiative being undertaken by Alec Blair in partnership with Stew Sheppard and the estate of Lawren S. Harris, to assemble a working catalogue of the works of the artist. The project’s intended outcome is a publicly accessible database of all known works by Lawren Harris (1885-1970), providing opportunities for exploration and discovery of Harris’ diverse and varied career.
Alec Blair is a lecturer at the University of British Columbia.
Stew Sheppard is the grandson of Lawren S. Harris, and the official estate representative. |
