Biography of FRANK MOLNAR

Frank Molnar ( 1936 -  ) was born in Budapest Hungary. He left in 1956 after the Hungarian Revolution and went to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts on a scholarship, then moved to Vancouver in 1962.  He played a key role in art education in Greater Vancouver, stressing the importance of art history, classical drawing and anatomy and taught for 28 years at Capilano College, (at the same time as David Franklin Marshall). Throughout the 60's and 70's and 80's his paintings were exhibited in local Vancouver galleries, along with Jack Akroyd, Peter Aspell, Peter Paul Ochs, and others. He continues to paint in oil-vibrant still lifes and large canvases of inspired nudes. His work is held in many private and public collections in Canada, the United States and Europe.
