Biography of HARRY HOOD

HOOD, Henry/Harry  (1876-1956).  Born in Cupar, Scotland, Hood studied at the South Kensington School of Art, London, England. After coming to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1904, he acquired the Art Emporium Art Gallery in 1926. Working in oil and watercolour, he painted landscapes, still life, figures, street scenes and interiors. He died in Vancouver. He exhibited with the RCA in 1935, 1938 and 1939 and the AAM 1935-40.
