Biography of ALICE AMELIA INNES

Born in Brooksdale/West Zorra, Ontario, Innes studied at the Ontario College of Art, Toronto. Working in oil, she paints the Ontario landscape, particularly near Parry Sound. She lived and worked in Ontario: Toronto (1930-45), Barrie (1946-48), Vancouver, British Columbia (1949), Oakville (1950-55), Willowdale (1956-57), and Woodstock (1958-70) where she died. She taught at the Port Hope School of Art, Ontario. She exhibited with the RCA between 1930-1947 and the AAM in 1943 and 1945.
