Biography of ARTHUR H. ROWE

ROWE, Arthur H. (19th/20th century). Active in British Columbia, Rowe was a landscape and cityscape painter. He worked mostly in watercolour and ink, and painted in a loose, almost naïve style often with dark colours, or using heavy ink outlines. He is known for his varied subject matter that includes images of London, England, Scotland, Naples, Italy, Spain and Vancouver, British Columbia where he painted well-known sights such as the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Siwash Rock.
