Biography of CARL BEAM

BEAM, Carl  (1943-2005).  Born on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Beam received his B.F.A. from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. A painter and printmaker, his subjects combine mystical images of both the modern and the ancient Canadian aboriginal world. He uses a variety of mediums including watercolour, coloured pencil, acrylic, plexiglas, and photographs. His work is represented in the CMC and the CCAB.
