Biography of BRIAN R. JOHNSON

JOHNSON, Brian R.  FCA  (1932-  ).  Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Johnson studied at the Art Center College, Los Angeles. He was also influenced by Andrew Wyeth. He worked as a designer and illustrator before turning to painting full-time in 1969. A representational artist working primarily in watercolour, he paints landscape, genre and everyday scenes with children, and coastal scenes. Johnson is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour in London, England.
