Biography of MURRAY MCCHEYNE STEWART

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Stewart is a landscape painter. He works in oil, and some acrylic, and paints the Canadian landscape, farmland and buildings in a loose, impressionist style. He has painted in many parts of Canada including Conception Bay, Newfoundland, and Haliburton and Lake Superior, Ontario, and many of his images involve the weather and moods of the day such as overcast skies, snow storms and twilight settings. He exhibited with the RCA in 1955.
