Biography of JACK LEE MCLEAN

MCLEAN, Jack Lee (1924-2003). Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, McLean is a self-taught realist painter and commercial artist. He began painting murals in 1953 at American air force bases in Europe. Working in oil, he paints western themes such as cowboys and ranch life with horses, cattle and Indians. He is a co-founder of the Western Artists of Canada (1977).
