Biography of CLAUDE HERBERT BREEZE

BREEZE, Claude Herbert  RCA, PDCC  (1938- ).  Born in Nelson, British Columbia, Breeze studied under Ernest Lindner in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and under Roy Kiyooka, Kenneth Lochhead, Arthur McKay and Ronald Bloore at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina. In 1959 he spent a year at the Vancouver School of Art. His early subjects were highly erotic and political with strong social protest, while his later works abstract expressionistic. Breeze works in oil, acrylic, the graphic arts and mixed media. His works are represented in the VAG, NGC, AGO, CCAB and the MMFA. He exhibited with the MMFA in 1968.
